Privacy policy

What we collect

  • Account: your email address, stored by Supabase (our auth provider).
  • Billing: your payment details, handled entirely by Stripe; we never see your card number.
  • Subscription state: whether you're on Free or Pro, mirrored from Stripe via a webhook into our database.
  • Site analytics: aggregate, cookieless pageview counts (no personal identifiers).

What syncs when Cloud Sync is on

If you sign in to Aspects and leave the Cloud Sync toggle on (the default), we sync the following to your account so you can recover your work on another Mac and see your library here on the web:

  • Artboard metadata — name, kind, settings, and any URLs you've captured for Website artboards.
  • Artboard thumbnails — the small preview image, ~150 KB each.
  • Export history — filename, format, size, and date of every render. For still exports (PNG / JPEG / WebP / AVIF / HEIC), a downscaled preview thumbnail.

Asset source files (the images and videos you drop into Asset and Icon artboards) and the export files themselves stay on your Mac — we don't upload them. You can turn Cloud Sync off in Aspects → Settings; everything stays local from that point on, and your earlier synced data remains in your account until you sign out or delete it.

What we don't collect

  • The actual web pages, images, or video you render — that processing happens entirely on your Mac.
  • We don't sell, share, or rent any personal data to anyone, ever.
  • We don't run cross-site trackers, third-party advertising pixels, or session-replay tools.

Who we share with

Three vendors, each with their own privacy policy:

  • Supabase — authentication and subscription database.
  • Stripe — payment processing and the customer portal.
  • Netlify — hosting for this website.

Cookies

We use cookies for two purposes: keeping you signed in (a Supabase auth cookie) and remembering that you've dismissed the cookie banner. No analytics or marketing cookies.

Your rights

Email us and we'll export everything we hold about you, or delete it entirely. Deletion takes effect within 30 days; we also cancel any active subscription as part of the process.
